Art Morrison owned 55 Chevy with NHRA #. The car was completed in 1993 & has manufactures serial # 001451192. The paint is in good condition considering the year it was painted. There is a Pro Stock Style wing on the rear of the car, parachute, fuel access door on the trunk lid. All the chrome trim, door handles, tail lights, & emblems, are in excellent condition. The hood front and doors & trunk lid are removable for maintenance. Overall the paint & body are in good condition. The chassis is all 4130 round tube with a funny car style cage that is the same style as cars currently being built. Front suspension uses stainless steel struts with wheelwood brakes. Rear suspension is a 4 link with strange new coil over shocks, 9” with new 411 gears, Strange Eng. Axles and aluminum third member. The diagonal link, chrome wheelie bars all appear to be in excellent condition. The interior is all aluminum that has been powered coated. The steering wheel is removable as is the dash & nine pieces of interior aluminum. Once these pieces are removed the entire drive train is exposed for ease of maintenance. There is an electric jack that is accessible from the drivers seat along with all electric controls, main electric shut off, parachute release, adjustable brake proportioning, trans brake, line loc & window net. Both doors have powered coated aluminum panels and both can be opened from the inside of the car. The Lexan windows are all flush mounted and in very good condition. Drive Tran consist of a 632 Scott Shafiroff Big Chief. It has 1300hp on motor w/ a 350 shot of speedtech nitrous. Lenco 3 speed drive with Neal Chance converter. New Weld-Wheel, lock beads in rear. Goodyear tires, new Bee-Cool Radiator. The car weighs 2320lbs empty. I’m 260lbs and the car runs 7.50 @ 189MPH. NHRA cert. to run 6.50 needs more nitrous. The intangibles on this car are the amount of national publicity the car has received from being a feature Project car in Car Craft Magazine as well as the magazine doing a series of articles while it was being built. Because it is a 55 Chevy body it will never be out of style. Following the construction there was a poster made of the car.
